Housing & Community Development

Housing and Community Development/Homeless Prevention administers the County’s affordable housing development, community development, and homeless prevention programs and successor agency programs/activities. This includes financing of multi-family rental, transitional, and homeownership projects for lower income households; the distribution of Federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnership Act (HOME), Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG), and Continuum of Care Homeless Assistance funds for homeless activities, community development, public service related activities; revitalization activities such as public works, infrastructure improvements, and housing rehabilitation; and, administration for the county’s redevelopment successor agency and Ten year plan to end homelessness.
